a little card (my version ) from the goody bag, July 2013

This is a sweet and easy card to make

The instructions and most of the components are in the July 2013 goody bag

using the blue stripe paper , matt onto a 5 x 7" card
i cut out the shape below with a Do crafts die set on my big shot machine

I added a smaller die cut in red stripe. and then cut it in half , also inking the edges. see below.
i inked up a colored spot paper and a blue striped bloomer

Adding them to the card, and then a stripe of the red again, also inked up edges
see below for placement
I added the blue striped bloomer to the middle and then stuck on the buttons

Finally adding a Handmade with love label and a bow, at the top of the label. then i punched out some little flowers with the punch shown below

Anyone had a heart ?

I must be in retro mood after the last post !!
Found this wooden heart in the Range when doing a demo, only £1  painted it with acrylic paint.
added the die cut topper from the Ultimate Chrismas kit

Scrapbook page , retro

I started this scrapbook page with a grey striped 12 x 12 from the new capsule range called 'Festive'
it had nice soft colours for my black and white photo's
next i matted the photo's on to a brown check page from the Christmas in the country
range, see packet below

I chose another lighter check paper from the same pack and inked up a strip , see below

I chose a designer shape from the pack shown below, the light green stripe complimented my colour scheme and pattern and then i inked the edges with chocolate dye ink pad ' Artiste range'

i found a lovely light blue denim style paper in the tilly trotter pack as shown below. this also was ideal for my page and theme
As you can see, below photo,  i used my artist pen (garnet ) to do faux stitching around the denim piece.
I then discovered, as we often do, that i liked it this way up instead !  in the Christmas in the country pack there is a page which has lovely borders, i used a large strip at the bottom of this page and saved a small strip for the top edge too.

I added my photo's on top of the strip. and the denim set them of f well .

I added the second thin strip accross the top of the highest photo , i then added an envelope from the gorjus girls range. the little packs of envelopes are super for scrapbooking,  ( also used in a previous  scrapbook page with Maia and Isaac) I inked the envelope edge and added the name 'Paul' using letters from the A4 ultimate die cut set, tilly daydream. i used the garnet artist pen to dot around the letters

I love this die for luggage tags. you will find instructions to make a proper luggage label with working strap too.  i also cut out the letters in the alphabet die for the title of the page.
I added tiny buttons on left side of page, complimenting spots and colours.

The Title die cut alphabets have the little 'holes' dotted in with the garnet artist pen

This is a close up of the label when constructed , i have added a gem and ribbon around the envelope too.

Christmas in the Country, stag stamped and embossed on 8 x 8 card

This is an 8 x 8 " kraft card base, with Christmas in the Country matted on. i used the 12 x 12 pack and the squares is a pattern already on one of the papers ! I stamped my stag with Chocolate Artiste pigment ink, embossed in clear . i cut him out with the postage stamps die set. matted him onto some pale gold glitter paper. and also put strips down the sides. i put strips of brown check on the top and bottom too. The lovely white velvet ribbon is fixed to the back of the stag and decorated with one of the little ' At Christmas' free stamps on the front of the Creativity Magazine this month. (July 2013)

Christmas range from DoCrafts, July Demo samples

Rather pleased with this one, Scrapbook page using a black 12 x 12 as a base for the Christmas in the Country papers and a mini envelope, letters & a topper from Tilly daydream Ultimate A4 kit.
lace & crochet heart are vintage notes.
I pleated the paper below the photo and slotted in the lace and rick rack.
This next one is my version of the easel card which has the instructions in the Christmas Goody Bag July/September from Do Crafts.
punch the front edge of easel card.

Add Christmas in the Country green check paper to base of card
Then matt a smaller piece of  red check on top
Add some green check on the Easel Card front
In the 12 x 12 pack of Christmas in the country there is a lovely page which has these stripes on it. very uselful for borders as shown. cut out and stick on as shown
Stick some beautiful velvet ribbon just below the border, Lucy Cronwell at christmas range
I then used the smaller baubles from the Christmas in the country topper pack.
I cut out a bauble using the 'Balloons' die from Create a scene die set.

I then stuck down a large red button to act as the stopper for the easel card, decorated with some holly in the die cut topper pack as above.
I popped the baubles from the die cut set onto my 'balloon ' bauble adding a bakers twine hanger and a ribbon from the Christmas in the country range.

Christmas Wreath stepper card

This is a stepper card, made with the new Christmas range from Do-crafts, i have added a wreath from the die cut set, with the bow on the front of the card instead of on the Christmas Wreath

Tray for xmas gifts - cookies etc

You can buy chipboard trays and boxes from hobbycraft and the range, this one came from a show.

I started off painting it with Anita's acrylic paint, in gold

Next i painted it with a dark green acrylic paint and smudged it until i liked the effect

I then lined the tray with Adhesive fabric

I ran some tacky glue around the inside edge .
then platted 3 different coloured bakers twine, stuck it around the inside of tray, leaving quite a bit to tie in a bow and attach to top of tray handle with buttons on the ends.
Finally decorated with washi tape around the outside.and

some   die cut shapes  from xmas garland set
