Dragons Lair Design team post, Simply Soft

this is my DT post for the Dragons Lair, Simply Soft collection. Its a gorgeous digital range which has some digi stamps too.
Find the shop here http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/And the Face book fan page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/636646656454888/

This is a photo of my only child Rebecca's wedding day in August 2001 , Its me , my mum and her, a wonderful day and this photo is kind of bitter sweet as my Mum died 3 years later & never saw her 4 sweet great grandchildren.

I started with a 12x12 cream page , gave a spritz and splash of colours, see below

I printed out some simply soft range embellisments and papers, cutting out as below

I found a lovely Doiley I found in a baking shop

The doily was spritzed too. Then added to the centre of the page.
See finished page below with little envelopes cut from the papers a punched scalloped circle cut in half and lots of other little embellisments. I used some little inked alphabets over the film strip for my title & date

Hels Sheridan's Sunday stamper - Blackbird

this card is for Hels Sheridans Sunday stamper challenge . Join in here http://pinkleart.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/sunday-stamper-week-343-blackbird.html
There are some lovely projects and tutorials on there too.
Anyway, I am on a very large long task of a total (gradual ) clean up and clear out of my craft room.
So this is my Laura Ashley stash used here, on the basis of if I want it enough to make a card then I'll keep it & I do love it, very pretty collection !

On some mid grey card I pasted on madame payroud tissue paper in top right and bottom left
Which I inked in pink and dark grey.
I tore and pasted on some papers from the Trimcraft Laura Ashley range on the other corners.
I stamped the Laura Ashley butterflies on all sides with a nice new Black soot Tim Holtz ink pad.
I used a square Doiley in the centre, also inked , the centre is a lovely new die
From DoCrafts , see photo below, this was cut out in a pale grey with some cream
Acrylic paint brushed around randomly as was the sides of the grey card.
I threaded some black/white bakers twine through the holes and tied it into a bow.
The centre dahlia is also a Laura Ashley stamp, stamped and embossed in pink.
The bird is a 3d sticker from the same range.& the funky buttons too.
