Fast card - Sunday stampers -Lavenders Green

I thought I was going to fail to post on Hels Sheridan's Sunday stamper this week.
It's all about purple tones, entitled , Lavenders Green (Hel's like to do song titles)
It's been very busy this week.  Then ..... I spied a fast card in the craft stamper :-)
I can't remember which issue it is, but it had this little Dicky bird stamp on the front too.

So it's a real change for me , but boy it was fast ! You swipe ink soaked sponges
Across your white card stock. Then cut out , mat on to black & then onto a white card.
I stamped the bird onto some toning nondescript paper, and then a little
Stamped text, bobs your uncle !

Assemblage clock -CC3C challenge 10

I know I keep saying it, but this Tim Holtz Challenge with the Compendium of Curiosities 3
Is just so much fun to do. This time it's no. 10 , Assemblage clock . To join in it's here:-

Also there are great prizes. ! A box of goodies from Tim Holtz & his manager Mario.
This prize is for the curiosity teams choice. There are also honourable mention badges to be won !
Plus .... This time the Funkie junkie boutique are giving a $25 gift voucher :-)

Here without further ado is my clock. I knew what I was going to do even before this
One was announced , I wanted to make a family heirloom that hopefully will be
Brought out and cherished for years !

I added some little lights behind the tree and Santa as he was all dark in there!
Hubby Drilled some holes in the back for them

Here are some close ups of details

This is the box to go and buy for this challenge . You must buy your own book to
See what Tim Holtz does with his one :-)

I cut out a card circle to fit into the back of the clock , to decorate inside

I took the clock apart to paint it with gesso, easier than getting paint all over the glass!

I pained my circle of card with ice blue fresco paint.
I added a Santa idea-ology sticker
I then made sparkly snow with lots of Wendy Vecchi embossing
Paste and glitter , blue & white.

See below where I carried on with the 'snow' & glitter. On the clock pieces
& a die cut fence too

Crafting cafe challenge, Shades of one

This month over on the crafting cafe blog , the challenge is 'Shades of one' and we have two
Great sponsors. So we can make 2 cards !  Bugaboo images & scribble and scrap crafts.
So go ahead and make something in shades of one colour, it's fun & challenging ! Then

For my scribble and scrap project , I have made a canvas picture. We have a shop called Tiger that sells canvases really cheap, this one was 99p !!!!

I painted my canvas with Fresco ink , ice blue , then using Claudine Hellmuth medium
I stuck on some Madame Payroud tissue paper. Using distress ink pads I inked the
Edges of canvas and some parts I wanted to high light. See inks below

See below photo for how I work out where I want thing to go.
I use a large clear acrylic block & hold it over the canvas
To see if it looks good before sticking down.

Below is a close up of the image, she is cute even in blue !

This is the medium I stuck everything down with on my canvas

The next card is an easel using a Bugaboo image with shades of

Brown - or as I prefer :- chocolate, caramel & toffee !

Demo projects , Art of craft & Andover Range & leisure

I have been working at the lovely 'Art of Craft' in North Camp Farnborough Saturday 6th & in the Range at Andover on Sunday, 7th , so am posting a lot of the projects & cards here for you.

This card above is started with a 5x7 kraft card blank. I covered the card with
Lemon yellow textured card stock first, then layered up some green spotty
Paper from the Roald Dahl range & some soft beige from the Botanicals range
Just to show you how you can mix it up with different ranges.

I doodled around the edges of the papers and the decoupaged yellow rose, also
From the botanicals range. I finished off with some sticky back lace.
A bow , thank you from Roald Dahl & a butterfly

Above is a Birthday cracker, this is made with the DoCrafts cracker die.
I used Roald Dahl papers & embellishments . Also some craft tape - spots and stripe
Capsule range .

Christmas card -blog hop extravaganza ! (or more demo Samples!)

Hiya, I am blogging lots of Christmas cards today, some simple , some quite busy and
Bright, but it's all  product led showing what you can do with paper set
Letter to Santa, Christmas die sets and border punches
Some are quite lary for me but cheerful I hope.

This card is made using the largest die in the set below 'Christmas Tree'

Position it on your blank greeting card as shown below (tent style)
So the top of card on the fold is peeking out and therefore not cut

Die cut a coloured paper tree using all of the die
And stick to the front of the card , this will hide the fold
This is reverse below

The card shown below is the star die set used with
Silver, purple & lilac card, just layered up
The card is an 8x8 which is covered in a starry night
Paper from the letter to Santa range on top of the same
Colours as the star.

Above is a side view of the easel card shown below, Santa is stamped
And watercoloured

These next few are all about using your border punches to good effect on your cards

This one below using dies with border punch

The postage stamp card below is using a small stamp set with the letter to Santa pk

This has a lot of border punching on a fold back front card with decoupage Santa

This card is also using border punch & ribbon
The Christmas tree die makes a great centre piece

Thank you for looking , I hope you enjoyed them & thank you
For any comments left :-)
