Got my new do-craft box this morning at 7.30am !! made a decision not to look at magazine. not a peep. took the Ultimate die cut set, Christmas Tidings and thought about what i would do with them.
I normally get inspired by the magazine and then make my own cards as well. like adapting a recipe.
anyway as i have over a week to first demo i wanted to do it this way around. so these are my first cards inspired by the pack and me only hope you like them
This is using a square card covered with gold card leaving a small cream border of card showing still.
i love this topper from the Christmas Tidings A4 ultimate die cut set ( all the cards are made from this pack)
matted onto some of the glitter A5 paperatzy pack -chelsea green. then onto the holly vellum from goody bag. added some xmas bells strung with raffia and fixed with a red brad. then a foiled xmas stamp greeting cut down to fit.
Also from the same pack, this is an A4 card. again covered with gold mirri card. i used the script paper and the garland paper cut into strips to make borders. these borders were matted onto gold and then onto a red die cut border from the pack. the tags were also matted onto gold and cut out.they were fixed with a gem brad - i finished with green stones on the garlands
another square card, this time in pale blue, the matted layers are a deeper blue first then silver under a dark blue script paper from the same pack. i cut a small triangle of the xmas vellum and stuck it on to the corner. adding two rows of silver border peel offs to hide the glue - next came red snowflake paper (edges inked in blue )matted onto white card came next, tie a blue spotty ribbon around before sticking to the dark blue on card. .then the topper which had also been matted on silver, came next to finish. i then added a small spotty bow topped with a red gem and a red Happy Christmas sentiment also a small red gem on the vellum too.
A fabulous selecton Janna, I love the traditional artwork of this collection, you've made some beautiful cards, and all by yourself, haha x
