August Challenge, inspiration, tin foil background

Hello, this is what i have been playing with today. lots more messy hands !!
Craft stamper, take it make it challenge is to use a technique from a 2014 craft stamper magazine.
Take a technique and make it your own
I am using a tin foil background from July 2014 magazine.
It was a master class by Jaine Drake, called
Aluminium foil & it's fascinating !
the link to Craft Stamper challenge is here :-Craft Stamper August Challenge

I would also like to enter this into Hels Sheridan's Sunday stamper challenge
this week its all about how you create your backgrounds, so this is ideal .
Hels challenge is called Moon Shadow and can be found here :-Sunday stampers, Moon Shadow

I began with a tag covered with foil as the article in a Craft stamper said.
Then the fun begins , lots of lovely alcohol inks dropped on to the shiny background
Looks like petrol on water ! See the photo's below

Here below are all the inks I used.

Then I embossed the tag , using the embossing folder below ,(bad photo !) ps use a little
Parchment paper maybe between your tag & your folder or you will end up
Scrubbing away , like I had to , to get all the ink off !!!

Lovely result , see below.
The magazine article suggested using a blending pen to get back the lovely
Silver raised embossing, I used blending solution with a cotton bud.

I wanted to use my bird cage die cut again , bit of a favourite just now, I
Used the French roast fresco ink dabbed all over it , with a little red brick Distress ink too.

See my messy photo above , while it was still wet, I added some
Distress embossing powder randomly on so I got a nice weathered look.

The cage sort of disappeared on the background a bit, so
Continuing on the shiny theme I found some lovely gold-ish
Pearlised vellum to go under the cage, see below

Next I needed a bird for the cage, so what better than to use a cover mount
Bird from Craft stamper magazine June 2014, don't you love it when a plan comes together !

He looked great stamped out in timber brown & coloured in
With distress ink pens in a water colour effect

I used a Tim Holtz pine cone die cut to make a pretty rose decoration.
& seeded preserves distress stain ink on this
With some

artiste white spritzing ink to continue on the shine idea.

Lots of lovely glossy accents over the rose and blue tit for more shine .

A little lace added under the cage & distressed with a dab or two
Of seeded preserves distress stain.

I used more alcohol ink on a silver heart I wanted to use as an accent
On the bird cage. I just love the jewel effect colours you get from the
Foil technique , shows up great in the picture below.
