For the Compendium of curiosities 3, challenge 11, I made a tag to go onto my husbands 60th Birthday card. Again it's a great technique , but you will have to buy Tim's book to get the low down
As I am not allowed to give details here, in respect for all Tim's work on his book.
If you want to join in there are some great prizes from Tim Holtz & Mario his manager (box of Tim's goodies !) & on the odd number challenges (this one !) we have Inspiration Emporium giving
Away a £50 gift voucher , find them here -: http://www.inspirationemporium.com
Above photo is the tag, and below photo is the finished card
I used a couple of other Tim Holtz techniques for this tag.
Dimensional collage fragments, this is from CC1 book.
It's the tiny clear tag at the top left, I was rather tickled to fing a number plate on one of Tim's papers that was AG , this is my husbands initials !
So I added the little 60 as well & a couple of other bits to go under the clear frame.
The base colour on the tag is paint marbling , this is in the current book
But I missed this challenge , so am using the technique now on here.
See below photo.
Another lovely Tim technique is to use the shadow press debossing folders
(They de-boss) with inks to highlight and a pen run just inside the letters
See below photo of highlighted de bossing and yet another of TH Techniques
Which is to use tiny brads and hammer them flat !
Below is a photo of the lovely framelits I used for this challenge technique , I love this
Compass , with the stamps and die cuts all in one , fabulous !
Here below is a close up of my Effect powders technique
How fun is this! LOVE the compass rose on the tag and it's great all by itself but the whole card is striking! Thanks so much for playing along with Effect Powders for our challenge at CC3Challenge!!!
